The Birthday's

April 20, 2010

Greetings to all...

This was the week of the birthdays...Jennifer's birthday was Sunday, April 18 and Granny's birthday was Tuesday, April 20...she is 85 years old today.

We celebrated the birthday's at the Bambu Restaurant in Maplewood. Matthew and I did not have a melt down...I actually thought the food was pretty good. The hospital where Jennifer works is one block from this restaurant...so the Bambu makes many late night runs to the hospital.

Pat and Terry came to the party.
Pat made the delicious birthday cake.

Pat wanted to make sure the cake got
to the restaurant in one piece.
I love the duct tape.

This is the cake...it was delicious!

The children made cards for Granny.

home to eat later.

The daffodils are so beautiful at this time of year.

The entire length of our fence has daffodils.

The tulips in the front yard look beautiful also.

Always out farming.

I have another busy weekend ahead...Julie is coming to Eau Claire on Saturday...we have the weekend planned!

Easter 2010

Sunday, April 11, 2010

Greetings! I am a week behind on my blog...Easter was last Sunday and I am now just getting to post my photos...better late than never. The weather is getting warmer each day....we are expecting 70's next week...nice!

Last weekend was Easter...we left for the Cities on Friday...rained (poured) all the way to the Cities. Chris was kind enough to fix Granny a grilled steak...I eat very little red meat so this was a treat for her. We were entertained by the children the entire weekend. We played a lot of games...Gin, War, Crazy Eights, and Rummikub. That Meggie...she beat me at every game...beaten by an eight year old!

Master card player.

The Easter Bunny came early at my house...so I brought the children their Easter baskets.

Earrings for Meggie.

SpongeBob stickers.

I made pillow cases for Meggie and Matthew.

The children left a note to the Easter Bunny.

and left presents.

Meggie made an Easter card for me to take to
work and put on my bulletin board.

She also made a bunny for me.

We had a great time this weekend! Next weekend we will be celebrating Jennifer's birthday. Yippee!
